Today’s Photo Friday had me a bit confused at first. The theme is Theme Day, Numbers or Names…. After asking around I discovered that there are some places that have really creative house names and numbers.

I have never lived in such a place…

So, I had to think on this one. I did find some houses around here that were named (2 of them) but in today’s world, I might get arrested for standing in their yard taking a photo.

Then on Tuesday night, on the way home from Football practice, it hit me….

Subdivision Names!

Here in Spotsylvania everyone lives in a named subdivision… and each one has it’s own name. When you move here people ask you first thing which subdivision you live in. It was a new thing for me, but kinda cool. Each subdivision has its own name too….

Jan suggested she was going to do a Photo Mosiac using Big Labs, so I followed her idea…

So without further ado, here are the subdivision names around Spotsylvania County (I couldn’t get them all either… sorry!)

A few subdivisions around Spotyslvania Virginia

A few subdivisions around Spotyslvania Virginia

1. Lee’s Hill, 2. Courthouse Commons, 3. Ballentraye, 4. Breezewood Forest, 5. Steeplechase, 6. Long Branch Estates, 7. Beauclaire Plantation, 8. Kingswood, 9. Estates of Idlewood, 10. Stratford, 11. Lee’s Hill, 12. Fox Point, 13. Summers Landing

Baby Girl and I had so much fun driving around taking photos of each sign. My favorite was the waterfall, I thought there was a name on it but found out there isn’t…. I kept the photo anyway and put it in the middle.

8th August: Author’s choice – Reflections (in lakes, rivers, puddles, ponds or even windows etc.)

15th August: MY choice – Wildlife

22nd August: Julie’s choice “Hat Day” (a picture of someone’s hat, that’s funny, pretty, or a self-portrait of us wearing our favorite or funny hat)

29th August: Mrs Nascar’s choice – Old cars (any interesting old cars from rusty scrapheap cars with a bird’s nest under the bonnet, to fabulous vintage or racing cars)
