Domestic Violence Awareness

I think almost every person has been in a relationship where your partner is inquisitive about where you are and what your doing. I think that in many new relationships, it is healthy to wonder about your partners whereabouts.

Sometimes it can go to far. This can be a sign of a potential abusive relationship. When everytime you leave you have to give a minute by minute account of where you’ve been and who you’ve seen.

Many abusers are insecure within themselves. Think about the bully at your school. He or She hid behind their fists so no one could see the insecurity within themselves.

Now, I understand there are relationships where trust can be a real issue. This doesn’t mean there is abuse. If trust has been violated because of an affair or whatever, holding your partner accountable for thier whereabouts is normal.

I have seen women in an abusive relationship not allowed to go anywhere without reporting their whereabouts to their significant other. Ever. This always puts flags up for me.

  1. when there isn’t any trust between 2 people, is really torturing~

  2. Dear Tina, I know this is very difficult to talk about, and I give you praise for doing it. It must also give you more nitemares. which must be horrible to experience. Also I know you are doing this for Sheri and others, letting them know they are not alone, and tryong to get them to get out before it’s to late. I love you sweetie and I’m very proud of you. HUGS to a GREAT niece. Aunt Elly
